Home, Home On The Range.....
Oh, my... I am so behind on my blogs! Facebook has been all consuming lately! Here I go!
Brianna's class had a field trip to a horse ranch, so I went along and helped chauffer a couple of her class mates. Mike stayed home with the twins, so I didn't have to worry about them.
Brianna was so excited about this trip. She's been on a horse before (two actually), and she just loved it! I knew she would get right on one this day, and thoroughly enjoy herself. Her group took a tour of the ranch prior to riding the horses, and nearly every minute she would ask, "When are we going to ride the horses?" It was getting on my nerves until... at last...
Brianna rode Levi. He was a fabulous horse with a calm disposition. He walked around and listened to Brianna's commands. She was just thrilled! Her foot kept coming out of the stirrup, so she would stop Levi constantly to have her foot put back in. He was so patient with her, and didn't mind the stopping and starting.
What a big girl! I couldn't help but be proud of her as I watched her sit up straight and feel comfortable riding the large horse. She had a guide with her to lead the horse, but Brianna felt like she was in total control! So cute!
I feel bad that I don't remember the name of her guide, but she was great. I guess you can tell Brianna LOVED her ride!
After the ride, her group learned how to brush a horse and clean the hooves, and then they went over to the chicken coop and threw around some seeds. She even got to take an egg home. Uh, yeah... we didn't keep that one to eat. Who knows how long it was out there? Ewww. I'm all for fresh, free range eggs, but I was just unsure about the one she picked. Aren't they supposed to be gathered first thing in the morning and then refrigerated right away? Brianna found hers around noon. Maybe I should ask my sister.... she has chickens, so she would be in the know.

I think the big danger with eggs is if they are refrigerated and then warmed again. They come out of the chicken warm and so a few hours like that is fine.
Tell Brianna Uncle Matt came home with a miniature horse today. On a whim, of course. See, your hubby could come home with turtles and horses! I'll facebook pics later.
Did your bathroom get finished?
